“The journey of the hero is about the courage to seek the depths;
the image of creative rebirth; the eternal cycle of change within us;
the uncanny discovery that the seeker is the mystery which the seeker seeks to know.”
-Joseph Campbell

This 12-week coaching program takes the intrepid soul on a journey of transformation. Using the framework of the Hero’s Journey we take each other through the alchemical transformation of becoming the hero of our own story.
We are all driven by story, in fact, it is the primary driver of our experience. Embedded in our narrative are the rules of the game we play. If our life isn’t meeting the standard we desire, then it is safe to say we need to make a dramatic change.
The Monomythic Quest coined by Joseph Campbell is a framework we can employ to help navigate from the tepid waters of stagnation to the golden coasts of our dream life.
No matter what your goal is, the framework of this coaching program can help you achieve it. We do so, by walking each other through the 12 stages of the hero’s journey and radically transforming our mindset, our daily practice, and equip ourselves with the tools to take action.
This group coaching program employs:
When we put all these skills together we regain the power to rewrite our narrative and reclaim any power we have lost to limited thinking.
Each week the group gathers for an hour and a half to share experiences, develop plans, map routes forward, and receive insight from coaches and peers.
Every weekly meeting features two or three coaches as well as your peer cohort to help you maximize your transformation.
What does the program look like from week to week? Our cohorts face the traditional hero’s journey and we integrate our own personal stories into the monomyth. Through this process, we learn to rewrite our internal narrative and develop bulletproof practices from over a dozen methodologies that we can take with us as a toolkit on our next journey, a new life free of suffering.
We begin by bringing our story to light. The Ordinary World deals with uncovering the root of our suffering through our personal stories.
We plan for the future and start drawing our map. How will we succeed? Take coordinated action and implement new practices and tools.
Our fears begin to show up in an attempt to keep us from changing. We face these obstacles boldly, with resolve, and find a way to remove them.
Amongst our peers lies a peer mentor who we can lean on to keep us accountable on our journey. This ally and advisor helps us to see our blindspots and avoid danger.
We have now been initiated into the quest of the hero and we set our minds to completing the work. This is where the rubber meets the road. It's time to do the work!
Our first test of will is upon us. We face an obstacle that threatens to derail our entire journey. How will we meet it?
Enter the deepest recesses of our inner world and face the shadow side of ourselves. How will you proceed?
We shed the wounds of the past and forge the armor of compassion to proceed on the final approach to meet the ego.
Integration occurs and we now face our final task, with our runaway now relieved of its power, we embark on the journey home.
Time to plan your daily routine and identify the areas you need to continue to improve upon. Now you have the tools.
Like a phoenix from the flames, we are born into our new way of being, the hero. The deposed ego has fallen and we are victorious.
We graduate but we don't separate, we have forged bonds with our cohort and now we support an entirely new adventure. The life of a hero.
“The ego is as you think of yourself. You in relation to all the commitments of your life, as you understand them. The self is the whole range of possibilities that you’ve never even thought of. And you’re stuck with you’re past when you’re stuck with the ego. Because if all you know about yourself is what you found out about yourself, well, that already happened. The self is a whole field of potentialities to come through.”
